Direct Service

Direct services to isolated seniors identified through the ROTIS Network are provided within existing programs offered by agencies and groups that are mandated to serve seniors in Ottawa.

RGPEO: Regional Geriatric Program of Eastern Ontario

Coordinated network of specialized assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services for elderly persons whose well being, independence or functional ability is threatened by multiple health or social problems

  • Manages the intake line (one single access number)
  • Conducts a comprehensive assessment of the isolated senior who falls within their mandate
  • Once an assessment is complete, ROTIS clients are referred to local agencies and groups for various needs
  • Clients who do not meet their criteria are referred to VHA Health and Home Support

VHA Health and Home Support

Provides responsive, quality home support and health care services on a non-profit basis, to assist individuals and families to maintain their dignity and independence
